2/7/2023
Age 67, of Spokane, Washington, passed away on February 7, 2023. He was born in Springfield, OH to William and Mary Bryant. He was a graduate of WSU and served in the USAF reserves. Don was married to his wife Karen for 41 years and raised for daughters. He worked for Inland Power & Light for 20+ years. Don enjoyed history, hiking, politics, reading and time with his grandchildren. He leaves behind his wife, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. He will be missed by the people whom he cherished. Arrangements are being handled by Hennessey Funeral Home.
Additional information from his brother Ric, Class of ’75, but graduated early with us in ’74:
Don was in freshman football and also sang in the choir. After high school he attended Wright State university for his first 3 years of college. Don grew up on 32 acres where our parents had a horse boarding business that kept us busy during our non-school hours. We were able to hunt and ride horses. Our summers were busy helping load barns with hay. Doug Young, Susie Snyder and Charlotte Farley were friends of ours growing up. Mom and Dad gave us the opportunity to ride horses and learn some business things. Don and I ended up in Washington when our dad was transferred from Wright Patterson AFB to Fairchild AFB, Spokane, WA. In those days if you were in college, the government would move the whole family. Both of us wanted to move west when we grew up so we packed up and moved too. We both finished our college at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. We hiked the Spokane area, and met girls we married. Life changes, and Don and I grew apart as our families grew. Don was also a cancer survivor. He was diagnosed nearly 20 years ago. He had a stem cell transplant 19 years ago that required him and his wife Karen move to Seattle for a year. He was there to see his girls marry and have grand kids
